The Ancient "Kindal Kindal" of the Australian Rainforest

Indigenous to the subtropical coastal rainforests of eastern Australia, Macadamia (Macadamia integrifolia), known in Aboriginal languages as Kindal Kindal or Boombera, produces hard-shelled nuts containing rich, creamy kernels that were prized as a sacred winter longevity food.


1. High Palmitoleic Acid (Omega-7) Density

While almost all vegetable oils contain less than 1% palmitoleic acid:


  • Macadamia Oil: Contains up to 18% to 22% Palmitoleic Acid ($16:1\text{ n-7}$), an essential monounsaturated fatty acid that naturally forms a core component of human young epidermal sebum.

  • Sebum Replenishment: As human endogenous sebum production declines with age, topical and dietary macadamia oil replenishes cellular lipid membranes and prevents trans-epidermal water loss.

  • Oleic Acid (60%): Enhances cardiovascular lipid profile without promoting lipid peroxidation.
